On August 18, Lande New Materials Ionic Liquid project officially broke ground in the Yangkou Port Economic Development Zone. Chairman Ren Xuhua of Lande, together with key officials from the Rudong County government, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
Lande New Materials Ionic Liquid project covers an area of approximately 53,333m2, with a planned annual output of 29,800 tons of ionic liquids, alongside 150 tons of lithium chloride and 100 tons of lithium bromide as by-products. Once completed, it will become the largest ionic liquid production base in China. This project marks a key strategic deployment of Lande New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. in Yangkou Port. Chairman Ren Xuhua stated that Lande will remain committed to advancing the transition of ionic liquids from the laboratory to industrial-scale production.
This project is expected to help local ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber and lithium battery separator manufacturers reduce reliance on dichloromethane, cut pollution, and further promote greener production processes. The Rudong County government has also recognized the project as an important step in strengthening the local new materials industry and has pledged full support for the construction of the plant.
